Monash Delegation and Chulalongkorn University Exploring Pathways for Broader Academic Cooperation
On 24th June 2025, Asst. Prof. Tewarit Sarachana, Ph.D., Assistant to the President for International Affairs, and Assoc. Prof. Aksara Putthividhya, Ph.D., from the Department of Water Resources Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, met with the representatives from Monash University. The meeting took place at the 18th Floor Meeting Room of the Chaloem Rajakumari 60 Building. The Monash University delegation included Ms. Katherine Cross, RUCaS Project Manager, Water Sensitive Cities Australia, and Ms. Lalita Rammont, RUCaS Partnership Manager.
On this occasion, Ms. Cross provided an overview of the collaboration, emphasizing its potential to raise awareness of climate resilience and promote effective water management practices. She also noted that the partnership with Chulalongkorn University is intended to expand beyond the Faculty of Engineering to the university level. Ms. Cross further highlighted Monash University’s strong interest in exploring additional joint initiatives with Chulalongkorn University, particularly in areas such as student exchange, research collaboration, co-publications, and contributions to high-impact journals. The meeting served as a positive step toward strengthening academic and research cooperation between the two institutions.
