MIT Vice Provost Visits Chulalongkorn University to Advance Joint Initiatives

On 4 July 2025, President Wilert Puriwat welcomed the representatives of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), led by Prof. Duane S. Boning, Ph.D., Vice Provost for International Activities. The meeting was also attended by Chulalongkorn University’s Vice Presidents, Deans, and Associate Deans from the Faculty of Engineering and Chulalongkorn Business School.

During the meeting, Prof. Boning presented ongoing collaborative programs and research initiatives, including the Chula-MIT Leaders for Global Operations (LGO) program, and a joint research project on climate change and disaster management. On this occasion, Chulalongkorn University proposed future collaboration on the development of non-degree or certificate programs between the two institutions.

MIT and Chulalongkorn University have enjoyed a strong partnership for over 25 years, with many MIT alumni in Thailand also being Chulalongkorn University graduates. A Chulalongkorn University delegation also paid a visit to MIT in June.
