Chulalongkorn University and Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich Foster Student Engagement and Share Experiences in Academic Mobility
On August 19th, 2025, the representative from the Intercultural Qualification & LMUexchange program of Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU), Germany, visited the Office of International Affairs and Global Network (OIA), Chulalongkorn University. The visit focused on engaging with Chulalongkorn University students preparing for outbound exchange programs and sharing experiences with OIA staff to further enhance student mobility initiatives between the two institutions.
As part of the program, Ms. Kirinee Wannavatakul, a freshman at the Chulalongkorn School of Integrated Innovation, who is scheduled to begin her exchange program at LMU in the Summer Semester 2026, participated in a pre-departure orientation session conducted by the LMU representative. The session provided essential academic, cultural, and logistical guidance to ensure that students are well-prepared and confident as they embark on their international learning journey.
Ms. Kirinee is among 84 Chulalongkorn University students selected this year to join the Outbound Student Exchange Program with Partner Universities, organized by the Office of International Affairs and Global Network (OIA). Through this program, students will spend at least one semester studying at 58 leading universities worldwide, gaining valuable academic and cultural experiences that foster global citizenship and personal growth.
Assigned by Assoc. Prof. Palanee Ammaranond, Ph.D., Vice President of Chulalongkorn University, Ms. Apisara Thongpoka and Mr. Pokkamol Phijitsiri from the Global Academic Affairs Division, Office of International Affairs and Global Network (OIA), met with the LMU representative. The discussions focused on sharing experiences and exploring strategies to further strengthen student mobility and enhance the visibility of the exchange program. Proposed initiatives included the development of joint digital content, expanded social media outreach, alumni engagement, and virtual information sessions, initiatives designed to inspire greater student participation in international academic opportunities.
This visit reaffirmed the close partnership between LMU and Chulalongkorn University, built on mutual respect and a shared vision for global academic collaboration. Both institutions remain committed to broadening student exchange opportunities that contribute to academic excellence, cultural understanding, and personal growth.
