[Call for Applications] NTU AI-for-X Postdoctoral Fellowship (AI4X-PDF) 2025

📍 About the Fellowship

The NTU AI-for-X Postdoctoral Fellowship (AI4X-PDF), jointly supported by Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU) and Singapore鈥檚 National Research Foundation (NRF), is a prestigious programme designed to attract and empower the world鈥檚 brightest early-career researchers.

This fellowship supports outstanding scientists who harness Artificial Intelligence (AI) to accelerate breakthroughs across science, technology, engineering, and mathematics including medicine (STEM). Through AI4X-PDF, we aim to cultivate the next generation of research leaders working at the intersection of AI and STEM, driving innovation and strengthening Singapore鈥檚 AI-for-Science ecosystem. Selected awardees will be co-funded by NRF Postdoctoral Award (NRF-PA) under this framework.

✍🏼 Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • PhD (or equivalent) conferred in聽2022 or later聽in any STEM field
  • Strong academic and research record
  • A compelling research proposal that clearly聽integrates AI to solve a scientific problem
  • Must identify an聽NTU faculty member聽as a Project Mentor
  • Available to聽commence the fellowship by 31 March 2026

Each selected Fellow will be paired with:

  • A聽Project Mentor聽in their research field
  • An聽AI Mentor聽(assigned or selected post-award) to support AI integration

  • Cover letter
  • Comprehensive CV聽(including聽Scopus Author ID聽and full publication list)
  • Official PhD transcript or certificate聽(in English)
  • Research proposal聽(maximum 2 pages)
  • Top 3 publications聽(in PDF format)
  • Letter of support from the NTU Project Mentor
    (Attach the mentor letter together with the research proposal as a single file)
  • Contact details of 2 referees, one of whom must be the PhD supervisor
  • Any聽other supporting documents聽(if applicable)
