📍 An applicant of a PhD programme needs to compulsorily register and submit his/her application on the Study in India portal
(https://studyinindia.gov.in/admission/login ) as per the norms prescribed by the Ministry of Education, Government of India in addition to his/her submission on the IIT Bombay portal.

📍 Applicants for Ph.D. programme : Login using “Google Sign In”
The prime objective of providing the option through google sign in is nothing but to safeguard the information collected from the applicant in order to prevent its fraudulent use with the purpose of using the same for processing his/her admission request only with IIT Bombay. We do not share the data/information collected from the applicant with any third party without his/her consent. Please find below the online application steps.

    • Copy of the grade transcripts with the explanation of the assigned grades.(Certified English translation is required, if the document is in other language).
    • Statement of purpose.
    • Bio-Data / Curriculum vitae / Resume
    • Two recommendation letters – at least one recommendation should be about the student’s academic performance issued by a faculty member.
    • Documentary proof to illustrate fluency in English language.
    • Copy of the passport (page showing your nationality and personal details).

    • Financial Undertaking :- Applicants applying only under Self-finance category need to submit a copy of applicant’s bank statement showing a balance of at least US$10000 (in case of the 2yr. post-graduate program) or US$20000 (in case of a Ph.D. program)
