Chulalongkorn University Welcomes the Embassy of Finland Delegation to Foster Academic, Research, and Innovation Collaboration
On 5 November 2025, Professor Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, together with Assistant Professor Dr. Tewarit Sarachana, Assistant to the President, warmly welcomed a high-level delegation from the Embassy of Finland in Thailand, led by H.E. Kristiina Kuvaja-Xanthopoulos, Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to Thailand, accompanied by Mr. Kai Tuorila, Counsellor for Trade and Investment.
During the meeting, President Wilert expressed his appreciation for Finland’s globally recognized education system and emphasized the University’s interest in learning from Finland’s educational practices—particularly to strengthen Chula’s and Thailand’s education and to develop programs that will prepare the next generation of educators and leaders in Thailand.

Ambassador Kuvaja-Xanthopoulos reaffirmed Finland’s commitment to deepening academic and innovation ties with Chulalongkorn University, highlighting opportunities for research partnerships, student and faculty exchanges, and joint initiatives in entrepreneurship and technology innovation. She also noted the potential for collaboration with Finnish companies and startups, envisioning joint efforts that would drive sustainable innovation and strengthen Thailand–Finland relations.
The meeting underscored Chulalongkorn University’s dedication to expanding its global partnerships and fostering knowledge exchange that contributes to the advancement of education, research, and innovation on an international scale.
