2026 JAPANESE GOVERNMENT (MONBUKAGAKUSHO(MEXT)) SCHOLARSHIP (RESEARCH STUDENT)
This scholarship is mainly for the person who studies to seek for a degree at Kanazawa University
Application Deadline
Applications must reach the prospective graduate school of Kanazawa University by mid- to late January 2026 (the exact deadline varies by graduate school). Therefore, applicants should contact the Student Affairs Division of the relevant graduate school as soon as possible, and no later than January 8, 2026.
Finding a Prospective Supervisor
Before submitting an application, applicants are required to obtain informal consent from a prospective supervisor at Kanazawa University.

Applicant and partner institution will be notified of the scholarship selection the result by the graduate school in June, 2026 (subject to change).
If you have any questions regarding the application process, please feel free to contact the Student Affairs Division of the relevant graduate school or the International Student Exchange Division. (The office will be closed from Saturday, December 27 to Sunday, January 4, for the year-end and New Year holidays and will be unable to respond to inquiries during this period. We kindly ask that you contact us on or after January 5.)
