2026 Training-Workshop on Transformational Agricultural Innovation Systems (TrAInS) for the New Future
The Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) is pleased to extend an invitation to faculty members and staff to participate in the 2026 Training-Workshop on Transformational Agricultural Innovation Systems (TrAInS) for the New Future, to be conducted in a hybrid format in April 2026.
This regional learning event is designed to provide participants with a structured platform to critically examine emerging and persistent challenges confronting agriculture and to co-create collaborative, forward-looking solutions. Through interactive lectures, guided discussions, and applied exercises, participants will be supported in developing transformative programs and strategies for transformational agricultural innovation systems (AIS).
A key output of the program is a Re-Entry Action Plan (REAP) aimed at advancing a future-ready and transformational AIS at the national or organizational level. Each REAP will be anchored in an assessment of the participant’s country or institution’s AIS, including key constraints, gaps, and opportunities for systemic transformation.
To support participation, SEARCA offers a limited number of competitive training grants. Applicants wishing to be considered for a SEARCA grant are requested to indicate this preference in the application. Applicants not awarded a grant are encouraged to seek sponsorship from home institutions or other funding agencies.
Further details are available in the attached 2026 TrAInS flyer. Additional information, including access to the online application portal, is provided on the 2026 TrAInS webpage. Applications will be accepted until 16 February 2026.
Support in disseminating this invitation within the university community and encouraging qualified faculty members and personnel to apply is highly appreciated.
