The University of Zurich (UZH), acting as the Leading House Asia Pacific, invites applications for the Funding Call 2025, supporting joint research collaboration, policy engagement, and PhD mobility between Swiss researchers and partners in the Asia-Pacific region. The program aims to foster sustainable research networks and strengthen international academic cooperation.
🎓 Funding Lines & Project Duration
• Scientific Collaboration Fund – supports research networks and policy engagement initiatives
• Mobility Fund – supports short-term PhD mobility and innovation-oriented partnerships
• Project duration: 1–2 years
• Project start: between July – December 2026
🎁 Scientific Collaboration Fund
- Research Network Grant
• For trilateral or multilateral research networks
• Funding: up to CHF 50,000 per project - Policy Engagement Grant
• For collaboration with policy stakeholders and development of policy-relevant outputs
• Funding: up to CHF 20,000 per project
🌍 Mobility Fund
- Future Leaders Exchange
• Short-term PhD exchanges (2 weeks – 6 months)
• Funding: up to CHF 20,000 per grant - Innovation Partnership Grant
• PhD mobility linked to academic start-ups and innovation ecosystems
• Funding: up to CHF 20,000 per grant
🌐 Eligible Partners & Regions
• Swiss-based researchers collaborating with partners in the Asia-Pacific region
• Includes ASEAN countries (including Thailand), East Asia, Australia, and New Zealand

• Call opens: 1 December 2025
• Application deadline: 8 March 2026 (17:00 CET)
• Results announced: May 2026
