Minister of Education and Skills Development of Bhutan Visits Chulalongkorn University

On 16 February 2026, Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University welcomed Her Excellency Yeezang De Thapa, Minister of Education and Skills Development of the Kingdom of Bhutan, along with her delegation from the Ministry and the Royal Bhutanese Embassy, on the occasion of their visit to the University. The meeting was held at the Reception Room, 2nd Floor, Chamchuri 4 Building.

The representatives from Chulalongkorn University who took part in the discussion included Associate Professor Dr. Palanee Ammaranond, Vice President for International Affairs and Global Engagement, together with the representatives from the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, the Faculty of Science, and the Faculty of Engineering.

    • The visit served as a courtesy call and provided an opportunity for dialogue with the University’s leadership. The discussion focused on prospective cooperation in STEM disciplines and Fine and Applied Arts programmes, reflecting common priorities in education and skills development.

    Both sides exchanged views on academic collaboration, faculty and student exchange, and future initiatives to support institutional partnership and capacity building. The meeting marked a constructive step in strengthening academic ties between Bhutan and Thailand.
