[Call for Participation] The 9th Annual APRU Sustainable Cities and Landscapes Conference 2026
Cities and landscapes across the Pacific Rim play a pivotal role in sustaining ecosystems at a global scale. Historically, this region has been shaped by deep interconnections forged through trade, innovation, and shared environmental conditions, making it a critical arena for examining the co-evolution and adaptation of urban and natural systems. At the same time, Pacific Rim cities confront a common set of challenges, including natural hazards, climate change, biodiversity loss, and the pressures of rapid urbanization. The 9th APRU-SCL Conference will convene experts from academia, industry, government, and local communities to reflect on multi-scalar transformations unfolding across the region and to co-design pathways and frameworks for a more sustainable and resilient future.
