Chulalongkorn University Engages in Academic Dialogue with Saskatchewan Education Delegation
On 27 February 2026, Professor Dr. Wilert Puriwat, warmly welcomed a delegation from the Government of Saskatchewan and the Embassy of Canada to Thailand. The meeting was held at the Reception Room, 2nd Floor, Chulalongkorn University Auditorium.
The visiting delegation from Canada was led by The Honourable Ken Cheveldayoff, Minister of Advanced Education, Government of Saskatchewan. Members included senior officials from the Government of Saskatchewan, the representatives of the University of Saskatchewan and the Saskatchewan Polytechnic, along with officials from the Embassy of Canada to Thailand.

On this occasion, Associate Professor Dr. Palanee Ammaranond, Vice President for International Affairs, joined the discussion together with Deans and senior representatives from the Faculty of Science, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Medicine, and Faculty of Political Science.
The discussion focused on strengthening academic ties between Canadian and Thai institutions. Key topics included research collaboration, faculty exchange, student mobility, and the development of joint academic programs. The meeting allowed participants to share priorities and identify practical avenues for future cooperation. The visit marked a meaningful step toward closer academic collaboration and deeper institutional partnerships between Thailand and Canada.
