ASEA-UNINET Project Funding and Scholarships Opportunities 2026
The Office of International Affairs and Global Network would like to share information on funding opportunities and scholarship programmes under the ASEA-UNINET network. Students, researchers, and staff members from member institutions are encouraged to explore the following opportunities:
- ASEA-UNINET Projects
- Open Call: A new project call (implementation period Oct. 2026 – Sep. 2027/2028) is open until April 23rd, 2026. The call opens once per year and supports research projects (teaching projects only permitted in the Arts). Funding primarily covers travel and subsistence costs for project participants.
- Project Participants: Involves at least one Austrian & one ASEAN (/Pakistan) ASEA-UNINET member university. Multilateral projects are preferred.
- Applications:May only be submitted by the project lead of an Austrian ASEA-UNINET member university (incl. candidate members).
- Cooperation Partner(s):To find a cooperation partner, please get in touch directly with member universities within the network. - Italy University Funding: University of Brescia LMINT & STAR Scholarships
- Open Call – University of Brescia (UNIBS): The LMINT and STAR Scholarship Programmes are both open until March 15th, 2026. Both scholarship programmes fund Master degree studies at UNIBS with scholarships reserved for applicants who graduated from ASEA-UNINET member institutions. Applications may be submitted via the online application forms provided by UNIBS. - Romania University Funding: TAS & WUT Scholarships
- Open Call – Transilvania University of Brasov (UNITBV): The Transilvania Academica Scholarships (TAS) fund Master degree studies at UNITBV with scholarships prioritised for applicants who graduated from ASEA-UNINET member institutions. Applications may be submitted by April 10th, 2026 via the online application form provided by UNITBV. - Open Call – West University of Timișoara (UVT): The West University of Timișoara (WUT) scholarships fund Bachelor degree, Master degree, and PhD studies at WUT with scholarships reserved for applicants who graduated from ASEA-UNINET member institutions. Applications may be submitted by August 1st, 2026 via the online application form provided by UVT.
