Horizon Europe Launch Event ASEAN – Information & Partnering Brokerage

The Horizon Europe is a new European Union (EU)’s research and innovation framework programme with a budget of approximately € 95.5 billion to spend from 2021-2027. The programme aims to strengthen the impact of research and innovation for developing and supporting EU policies and to tackle global challenges.  In addition, Horizon Europe also facilitates collaborations between Europe and other countries to create excellent knowledge in any research field. In June, 2021, the programme has launched the calls for proposals for collaborative research activities through the Funding & Tender’s Portal.

If you are an ASEAN researcher, entrepreneur, or others who would like to meet your future research partners to apply for the Horizon Europe, please join this virtual matchmaking event!

The event will be held from 20-22 July 2021 at 02.00 pm. (BKK Time) on the following four thematic focus areas:

  • Digital, Industry, Space (Circular Economy), on 20 July
  • Climate, Energy, Transport (Green Tech), on 21 July
  • Health (AI & Health, Infectious Diseases, Health & Climate Change), on 22 July
  • Civil Security for Society (Disaster Management, Pandemic Preparedness), on 22 July

Who should participate?

Researchers from the public and the private sector across ASEAN; universities, research institutes, industry actors, NGOs etc., are invited to attend.

Note: Participants should have the capacity and intent of joining Horizon Europe-funded research consortia.

What to expect?

  • Obtaining detailed briefings on Horizon Europe Calls for Proposals Opening in 2021.
  • Learning about application modalities for Horizon Europe Funding.
  • Meeting international research collaborators and launching your research consortium via 1-1 matchmaking sessions.
