Fraunhofer Attract Research Grants

The Fraunhofer Attract grant offers outstanding scientists/researchers the opportunity to develop innovative ideas towards an actual application by setting up their own research group in close cooperation with industry at Fraunhofer. The grant provides scientists/researchers with an attractive package of both funding and management responsibility, as well as outstanding working conditions in optimally equipped Fraunhofer labs.

Deadline:        15 September 2021

Fund:              2,500,000 EUR

Duration:        5 years

Eligibility:     

Requirements for applicants include the following:

  • outstanding scientists in the postdoc phase (a PhD or equivalent qualification)
  • application-oriented researchers from industry and business
  • a project idea that shows a high degree of innovation, and would be an excellent match with the strategy of a Fraunhofer institute
  • joint application with the Fraunhofer Institute
