A Virtual Meeting with the Representatives of John Von Neumann University
On February 18, 2022, Chulalongkorn University, represented by Associate Professor Dr. Natthanan Kunnamas, Director of the Centre for European Studies, Jean Monnet Chair and Jean Monnet Modules Coordinator & Director of the Interdisciplinary Department of European Studies, Faculty of Political Science and Asstistant Professor Dr. Kasira Cheeppensook, Deputy Dean for Graduate Studies and International Affairs, Faculty of Political Science, together with the officers of the Office of International Affairs and Global Network held a virtual meeting with the representatives of John Von Neumann University (NJE) in Hungary, led by Dr. Zoltán Weltsch, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and Dr. Levente Horváth, Director of the Eurasia Center.
The meeting commenced with a speech by H.E. Mr. Sandor Sipos, Ambassador of Hungary to Thailand, that provided an overview of the scope of collaboration to be established between Chulalongkorn University and John Von Neumann University. Furthermore, he also brought both parties to the fact that the year 2023 will mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Therefore, it would be an excellent opportunity to strengthen our academic cooperation.
During the meeting, Chula and NJE discussed the possibility of establishing partnerships in student and staff exchange program, research collaboration and short program development, not only in the fields of Political Studies but also in other areas.
