A Meeting with the Representatives of Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS)

On May 10, 2022, Chulalongkorn University (Chula), represented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Nirada Chitrakara, Associate Dean for Internationalisation and Organisational Image Enhancement, Faculty of Arts; Asst. Prof. Dr. Pornpimol Sukavatee, Head of the Division of Foreign Language Teaching, Department of Curriculum and Instruction and Chair of the Board Committee of Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) (International Program), Faculty of Education and Dr. Ram Piyaket, Director of the Office of International Affairs and Global Network, had a meeting with the representatives of Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ludwig Tan, Dean of the School of Humanities and Behavioural Sciences; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Calvin Chan, Director of the Office of Graduate Studies (OGS); Assoc. Prof. Dr. Soe Marlar Lwin, Head of the Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics (TESOL) Programme and Dr. Fang Zheng, Faculty Supporting OGS for Internationalisation of SUSS Graduate Programmes.

During the meeting, the representatives of Chula and SUSS discussed the possibility of establishing collaboration in various activities, such as academic collaboration, student and faculty exchanges, intensive practicum, research collaboration and the development of double degree program in Applied Linguistics. SUSS also shared with Chula their TOSEL Series, an annual public lecture in Applied Linguistics, which can be one of the initial activities that will allow both parties to share their knowledge and experiences.
