A Meeting with the Representatives of James Cook University, Singapore
On May 23, 2022, Chulalongkorn University (Chula), represented by Asst. Prof. Voraprapa Nakavachara, Ph.D., Assistant to the President for Global Engagement, had a meeting with the representatives of James Cook University, Singapore (JCU), led by Prof. May Tan-Mullins, Ph.D., Dean International and Chief Sustainability Officer; Ms. Cassandra Lee, Associate Director for Student Recruitment and Mr. Jaruwat Kiatiwongse, Regional Manager.
During the meeting, the parties shared information on the existing collaboration between both institutions and discussed on the way to strengthen and expand collaboration, especially toward the collaborations in promoting sustainability and food security.Â
After the meeting, the JCU delegates visited the Faculty of Veterinary Science to meet and explore the opportunity in collaborating with Chula in the field of Aquaculture with Dr. Navapon Techakriengkrai, Assistant Dean for International Affairs, Faculty of Veterinary Science and Assoc. Prof. Channarong Rodkhum, DVM., Chair of the Department of Veterinary Microbiology and Chair of the Center of Excellence in Fish Infectious Diseases (CE FID). The visit at the Faculty of Veterinary Science was concluded by the tour at the laboratories and the Center of Excellence in Fish Infectious Diseases.
