The 8th China International College Students”Internet+’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition

The 8th “Internet+ global innovation and entrepreneurship competition” for youth under 35 years old with several categories specialized for different participants.

For in-campus students (bachelor or postgraduate students) have innovative ideas but have not completed business registration, they can choose creativity category, here is the basic requirements as reference:

  • The competition only accepts team entries with 2-15 people
  • All team members shall be students studying in universities or colleges outside of China (it is acceptable if team members come from different universities)
  • Team project shall be creative with mature product prototypes or service models

For entrepreneurs who have completed business registration, Emerging project category is suitable for startups registered within 3 years; Rising project category is suitable for startups registered over 3 years. Both categories can accept in-campus students and participants graduated within 5 years.

This competition is one of the highest-level international students’ innovation competitions in China hosted by the government. A total of 500 international entries will be selected for online evaluation at the finals, 150 of which will be shortlisted for the on-site finals (if no restriction from covid policies), 50 of which will receive the Gold Award, and the remaining 100 projects will receive the Silver Award. The remaining 350 projects that fail to enter the on-site finals will receive the Bronze Award.

For supporting this competition, Shanghai Education Ministry set extra awards and mentorship for teams selected by the committee. If any teams have interests to join this competition and would like to get mentorship from organizing committee, please submit business plan (in ppt) to Dr. Pietro Borsano at Pietro.Bo@chula.ac.th or Ms. Summer Shen at summer.shen@businesslanding.cn ideally within 19 June 2022. If teams decide to give up extra awards from Shanghai Education Ministry due to tight schedule, please submit business plan (in ppt) to Dr. Pietro Borsano at Pietro.Bo@chula.ac.th or Ms. Summer Shen at summer.shen@businesslanding.cn ideally within 30 June 2022.
