COSMOS International Conference 2022 (CIC 2022)

The COSMOS International Conference (CIC 2022), is organized by the Universiti Putra Malaysia and SOKA University, Japan, and partnered by the Tokyo Institute of Technology, University of Tokyo, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, Universiti Selangor, and National Institute of Environmental Studies, Japan. CIC 2022 marks the end of the COSMOS (Continuous Operation System for Microagae Production Optimised for Sustainable Aquaculture) project 2012-2022.  It aims to bring together leading experts, scientists, industries, educators, aquaculture entrepreneurs, farmers, governments officers, stakeholders and researchers from all over the globe to share their important works on different aspects of research and technologies related to microalgae. This conference is supported by the Science and Technology Research Partnership for Sustainable Development Program (SATREPS), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), and Japan Science and Technology Agency
(JST).

CIC 2022 theme is ‘Sustainable Trans-Equatorial Microalgae Technologies for the Advancement of Circular Economy’. The selected theme reflects the emergence of innovations and technologies in the microalgal field and their applications in aquaculture, nutraceuticals, cosmetics, medicals, wastewater treatment, etc. Due to their ecological friendliness and alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), these innovations and technologies are the keys to developing a recycling-oriented and sustainable aquaculture industry. The conference provides an interdisciplinary platform to share and exchange knowledge and expertise of microalgal technologies, ranging from basic biological/ecological studies to social applications, towards a new era of microalgal eco-technologies through a balanced set of oral and poster presentations.

Publication:

Authors of accepted abstracts are invited to submit full papers. Selected full papers will be recommended for publications in Scopus-indexed journals if they meet the journal requirements. Note that the accepted full paper may undergo a second revision by the journals. Additional fees may apply upon acceptance in some journals. CIC2022 has partnered with the following journals.
