Meeting with the Representatives from National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan
On July 21st, 2022, Chulalongkorn University, represented by Prof. Kaywalee Chatdarong, Ph.D., Vice President for Strategic Planning, Innovation and Global Engagement; Prof. David Banjerdpongchai, Ph.D., Deputy Director of Innovation for Education and Research, International School of Engineering (ISE), Faculty of Engineering; Assoc. Prof. Juthamas Ratanavaraporn, Ph.D., Chair of the Biomedical Engineering Programs (M.Sc. and Ph.D.), Faculty of Engineering; Prof. Songphol Kanjanachuchai, Ph.D., Lecturer, Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering; Assoc. Prof. Naebboon Hoonchareon, Ph.D., Lecturer, Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering; Prof. Unnop Jaisamran, Ph.D., Associate Dean for International Affairs, Faculty of Medicine; Assoc. Prof. Naricha Chirakalwasan, Ph.D., Assistant Dean for International Affairs, Faculty of Medicine and Dr. Ram Piyaket, Director of the Office of International Affairs and Global Network, had a meeting with the delegates from National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan. The NCKU delegates were led by Prof. Fong-Chin Su, Ph.D., Executive Vice President & Distinguished Professor; Prof. Chih-Han Chang, Ph.D., Professor & Director of Medical Device Innovation Center (MDIC); Prof. Wen-Tai Chiu, Ph.D., Professor & Chair of the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Ms. Kanjana Chaitika, Assistant to Prof. Fong-Chin Su & Contact Window for Taiwan Center for Smart Healthcare Science and Technology in Thailand.
Both sides discussed the possibility for global academia-industry collaboration, especially in Artificial Intelligence, Semiconductor, Sustainable Manufacturing, Green Energy, Biomedical Engineering and Digital Healthcare.
After the meeting, the NCKU delegates proceeded to the Chula Medical Innovation Center (CMIC), Faculty of Medicine to pay a visit to Asst. Prof. Amornpun Sereemaspun, Director of Chula Medical Innovation Center (CMIC), and the administrators of the Faculty of Medicine. This visit gave them the chance to explore the possibility in expanding their collaboration.
