[Invitation] Join The School of Environmental Science Universitas Indonesia Credit Earning Program for Students (SIL UI-CREATES) Programme

The School of Environmental Science Universitas Indonesia (SIL UI) is delighted to offer a Credit Earning Program for Students (UI-CREATES) in 2022, providing an excellent interdisciplinary platform for international students. UI-CREATES is a two-week online short course programme offering international students the opportunity to follow courses taught by distinguished scholars and practitioners from Indonesia and earn 3 (three) credits after completion.

With the theme of “Sustainable Development Goals: The Global Challenges” through UI-CREATES 2022, the School of Environmental Science offers international students immersive and experience-rich courses in four broad clusters of material: Environment and Biodiversity, Social Justice and Well-being, Sustainable Food Systems, and Cultural Heritage and Identity. Through this programme, international students will discover how sustainability has become a global movement and explore social, economic, and environmental global policy challenges, with SDGs as a core reference point.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Applications are welcome from international students currently enrolled on Graduate Level/Master’s programmes from all majors at partner universities of Universitas Indonesia. 
  • Good command of the English language is a must.
  • Please be informed that this program does not apply to diaspora students who have Indonesian citizenship.

COURSE CONTENT AND LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Supported by the School of Environmental Science Universitas Indonesia, the UI-CREATES programme will cover diverse topics related to sustainable development conducted entirely in English through online lectures and workshops. The program features carefully curated courses in four broad clusters: Environment and Biodiversity, Social Justice and Well-being, Sustainable Food Systems, and Cultural Heritage and Identity.

EXPECTED OUTCOMES:

International students are expected to discover how sustainability has become a global movement and explore social, economic, and environmental global policy challenges through courses, presentations, cross-cultural discussions, and collaborative workshops.

ASSESSMENT:

Students who meet the attendance requirement and complete the two-week programme will be eligible for 3 (three) academic credits and a UI-CREATES 2022 Certificate.

The program is open to graduate/master’s level students from all majors from Universitas Indonesia partner institutions and affiliated alliances worldwide.

SIL UI-CREATES uses a rolling admission policy; applications are reviewed as they are received.

APPLICATION SCHEDULE:

  • Registration: 05 – 30 SEPTEMBER 2022
  • Final Announcement: 03 OCTOBER 2022
  • Eligible participants will receive a Letter of Acceptance alongside the final announcement.
  • All application materials should be submitted before 07 OCTOBER 2022.

TUITION:

SIL UI-CREATES program is Free of Charge. Eligible students accepted by the program will be granted a tuition waiver.
