[Call for Abstracts] AUA Academic Conference on Mars and Planetary Science

AUA academic conference on Mars and Planetary Science will be held by United Arab Emirates University on 15-16 May 2023. This conference will bring together researchers working on Mars and other planetary science topics from within the UAE and from other AUA member institutions with similar research priorities. More details about the conference are follows:

Program: Topics that the conference will cover include:

  • Science using data from the Emirates Mars Mission
  • Other Mars surface and atmospheric science
  • Other planetary science within the UAE
  • Extrasolar planets

Deadline for Abstract Submission: Friday, 14 April 2023

Eligibility: Faculty, researchers, project officers, and students working in planetary science in UAE or other AUA universities, or in relevant UAE non-University organizations.

Fees: There will be no registration or abstract fees for this conference. Financial support to attend the conference is available for a limited number of attendees from non-UAE AUA institutions, and for student attendees from within the UAE. Please indicate on the form if you are eligible and interested.

For attendees from non-UAE AUA institutions, preference will be given to:

  • balance the conference program between the various sub-topics that the meeting will cover
  • have attendees from a variety of different AUA institutions present
  • student and early-career scientist attendees
  • attendees from low- or low-middle income countries

For students within the UAE, preference will be given to

  • those who need to travel from other cities and emirates to Al Ain
  • balance the conference program between the various sub-topics that the meeting will cover
  • have attendees from a variety of different UAE universities present
