Call for Application: Japanese Government Scholarship at Niigata University, October 2024

The Graduate School of Science and Technology, Niigata University, offers the Global Education Program for Fostering Advanced SciTech Specialist having Practical Ability in Social Collaboration for those who wish to be matriculated either at the Advanced Materials Science and Technology, Electrical and Information Engineering, or Environmental Science and Technology major.

Deadline: December 20, 2023 at noon (BKK time)
Level of Study: Ph.D. (Research Student)
Duration: Full-time 3 years

Eligibility for MEXT Scholarship Application:

  • Nationality: Applicants must have the nationality of the ASEAN countries at the time of application.
  • Age: Applicants must be born on or after April 2, 1989.
  • Academic Background: Those who have been granted a Master’s Degree or are expected to obtain such a degree by September, 2024.
  • Academic Grades: Those who have had a GPA of 2.30 or higher, based on the calculation formula specified by the MEXT and are also expected to maintain a GPA of 2.30 or higher for the period during which they receive their scholarship stipend.
    • Niigata University will calculate the applicants’ GPA upon receipt of the application documents.

  8. Abstract of Thesis
  9. Certificate of Health
  10. Documents Certifying Language Abilities (Either in English or Japanese)
  11. Examination Fee*
    -The fee is not required at the time of application, but non-MEXT scholarship students must pay this fee (JPY 30,000) before entering Niigata University.
  12. Photographs (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm)
