CommTECH Nusantara 2024 : Virtual Exploration of Indonesia – Ramadhan Edition
What is CommTECH Nusantara?
CommTECH Nusantara is a short program aimed to introduce various Indonesian cultures to participants from all over the world. This program focuses more on art and culture-related activities such as traditional music and dance, making Batik, exploring Surabaya Kampongs, language, foods, and many more. Delivering the special theme of Virtual Exploration of Indonesia – Ramadhan Edition, participants will explore the rich values and culture from various region of Indonesia especially some activities during Ramadhan.
During the program, participants will be given a project competition of creating a video or poster in the theme of Indonesian values and culture that has been introduced in the CommTECH Nusantara 2024 program. Participants may be as creatively as desired for creating the project.
In the end of the program, participants will present their creation on a Virtual Project Exhibition. The projects will also be posted through CommTECH’s Instagram account as well as the Facebook account of ITS Global Engagement. The Best Project will be chosen based on the highest number of likes on the post. The team with the best project will receive some special prizes from ITS!

CommTECH Nusantara 2024 will be conducted every 14.00 – 17.00 WIB GMT +7 from Monday, 25 March until Friday, 8 Apr 2024
Timeline of Program
This program consists of 11(eleven) meetings with detail as follow:
Week 1 (25 – 30 March 2024)
(1) Monday, 25 Mar 2024 – Opening Ceremony & Virtual Campus Tour
(2) Tuesday, 26 Mar 2024 – Fun Bahasa Indonesia, Ramadhan activities in ITS
(3) Wednesday, 27 Mar 2024 – Central Java & Yogyakarta Edition
(4) Thursday, 28 Mar 2024- West Java & Jakarta Edition, Angklung Music
(5) Friday, 29 Mar 2024: Sumatra Edition & Tor Tor Dance
(6) Saturday, 30 Mar 2024: Virtual Surabaya City Tour & Batik Edition
Week 2 (1-5 Apr 2024)
(1) Monday, 1 Apr 2024 : Sulawesi Edition & Poco Poco and Tobelo Dance
(2) Tuesday, 2 Apr 2024: Bali & Maluku Edition
(3) Wednesday, 3 Apr 2024 : Kalimantan Edition
(4) Thursday, 4 Apr 2024 : Maumere Dance & Project Announcement
(5) Friday, 5 Apr 2024 : Virtual Project Exhibition & Closing Ceremony
Eligibility & Benefits
Non-Indonesian active bachelor, master & doctoral students from any background, non academic staff, lecturers & professors are eligible for joining the program.
All the participants can get certificate of participation after completion of the program. The winner of project awarding also will got additional certificate and gift from ITS.
Program Fee
This program is free for 5 participants from ITS partner or non partner universities. For ITS partner universities have a chance to send more than 5 participants (based on agreement). However generally university who wish to send more than 5 participants, the fee of USD 50 will be applied.
