The 6th Forum on China-Thailand Higher Education Cooperation
The representatives of Chulalongkorn University are invited to attened the 6th Forum on China-Thailand Higher Education Cooperation, an event that will fittingly precede the golden jubilee of diplomatic ties between China and Thailand in 2025.
Here are some important details about the Forum:
1. DATE AND VENUE
August 20-25, 2024, with precise dates and venue specifics to follow shortly, in Guiyang City, Guizhou Province, China.
2. THE ORGANIZERS
Jiangsu University and the ACTU Secretariat, supported by the China Education Association for International Exchange and East & West International Education, while Guizhou University and Guiyang University serve as suppliers.
3. PARTICIPATION
The forum encourages in-person attendance of up to 80 delegates from China and abroad, complemented by an online audience of 300 participants. Esteemed attendees will encompass government officials, university leaders, educators, researchers, industry professionals, and promising students from both countries, as well as representatives from Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) countries.
4. THEMES
The central theme, “Deepening High-quality Cooperation of Universities for Joint Cultivation of International Talents,” will guide sub-fora dedicated to university presidents’ dialogue, showcasing best practices in Sino-Thai collaborations, sustainable agricultural and food development, and a youth forum featuring Thai students studying in China.
5. FINANCIAL ARRANGEMENTS
There is no participation fee. Attendance is complimentary, with Chinese delegates responsible for their accommodations and intercity travel. Invited Thai delegates will enjoy sponsored lodging for up to three nights at designated hotels, along with complimentary meals and shuttle services courtesy of the CAECW Organizing Committee. Furthermore, airport/railway station pick-up and drop-off service will be arranged for all invited guests.
6. KEYNOTE SPEECHES & REGISTRATION
We now invite proposals for keynote addresses aligned with the forum’s themes. Interested speakers are requested to submit their presentation topics, abstracts, and a brief biographical sketch (max. 500 words in English) to the ACTU Secretariat by August 1, 2024.
