Chulalongkorn University and Sejong University Strengthen Academic Ties to Advance Student Mobility and Global Citizenship
On August 22nd, 2025, the Office of International Affairs and Global Network (OIA) of Chulalongkorn University, under the leadership of Assoc. Prof. Palanee Ammaranond, Ph.D., Vice President, welcomed Ms. Yuna Jung, the representative of the Office of International Affairs, Sejong University, South Korea, at the OIA Office, 18th Floor, Chaloem Rajakumari 60 Building. Ms. Apisara Thongpoka, the Global Academic Affairs Division, Office of International Affairs and Global Network (OIA) hosted the meeting.
The discussion centered on advancing opportunities for student exchange programs, reinforcing Chulalongkorn University’s strategic vision of “Growing in All Directions, with Students at the Center.” This initiative supports both International Growth and Integrated Growth strategies by expanding global partnerships and integrating academic knowledge with practical experiences that directly benefit Chulalongkorn students.
Both universities expressed mutual commitment to creating transformative mobility programs. As leading institutions, Chulalongkorn and Sejong provide strong infrastructures to support international students, including diverse English-taught programs, on-campus housing, medical facilities, and cultural immersion opportunities such as Thai and Korean language courses. Tailored student support services, including International Buddy Programs and 24/7 hotlines, ensure the well-being and success of participating students throughout their exchange journey.
This visit represents a key milestone in realizing the MoU between the two universities, reaffirming their joint dedication to academic excellence, innovation, and student mobility. It also highlights Chulalongkorn University’s mission to contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4: Quality Education by fostering experiential learning and global exposure, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through strengthened collaboration with universities, industry, and global partners.
