Meeting between the Representatives of Queen’s University and Chulalongkorn University
On Tuesday, June 14th, 2022, Chulalongkorn University (Chula), represented by Ms. Sukalin Wanakasemsan, Director of the Division of Global Academic Affairs, Office of International Affairs and Global Network, had a virtual meeting with Dr. Zhiyao Zhang, Director of the Queen’s-Asia Liaison Office, Office of Vice Provost-International, Queen’s University (Queen’s), Kingston, Canada.
During the meeting, both parties referred to their current collaboration through the SEED program (Canada-ASEAN Scholarships and Educational Exchanges for Development) which allows Chula Business School’s post-graduate students to conduct research at Queen’s University. With Queen’s strategic focus on strengthening and expanding its academic collaboration and mobility in Southeast Asia, Chula is one of Queen’s strategic partners in the region. The potential collaborations between the two academic institutions include 1) a student exchange program, 2) collaboration related to the university’s role to achieve the UN’s SDGs, 3) visiting graduate students for research activities, 4) joint organization of online programs, both degree and non-degree, and 5) research collaboration, especially in mining, geology, biology, fresh water marine science and environmental studies.
