Chulalongkorn Students Explore Innovations at HKUST Entrepreneurship Bootcamp 2025 in Hong Kong
Aligned with Chulalongkorn University’s commitment to nurturing young leaders who embody global citizenship, drive sustainable development, and contribute meaningfully to society at both regional and international levels, two students, Mr. Anees Latif (Faculty of Engineering) and Mr. Nittipat Teeravechyan (Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences), were selected to participate in the HKUST Overseas Study Program: HKUST Entrepreneurship Bootcamp, organized by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) from 6th to 12th July 2025.
This opportunity was made possible through the support of the Office of International Affairs and Global Network (OIA), led by Assoc. Prof. Palanee Ammaranond, Ph.D., Vice President, as part of its efforts to broaden international exposure and provide transformative experiences for Chulalongkorn students.
The program delivered an intensive, in-person learning experience aimed at immersing participants in Hong Kong’s vibrant startups and innovation ecosystem. It offers opportunities for the participants to explore the local entrepreneurial environment, connect with investors and industry experts, and engage in cross-cultural collaboration with peers from around the world.
As part of the program, the participants visited the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks (HKSTP) to learn about their incubation programs, startup growth strategies, and commercialized pathways in the region, as well as to join entrepreneurship workshops at Lingnan University focusing on resilience, leadership, market analysis, and value creation.
The experience equipped the Chulalongkorn participants with practical skills in lean startup methodology, insights into AI integration with healthcare, and a deeper understanding of global innovation networks. After the bootcamp, both students expressed that their one-week experience in Hong Kong has strengthened their entrepreneurial mindset, expanded their professional networks, and inspired them to pursue ventures that create positive social impact, particularly in healthcare and sustainability.
This initiative reflects Chulalongkorn University’s commitment to advancing its strategies for International Growth, Intellectual Growth, and Integrated Growth, while supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
In particular, it contributes to SDG 4: Quality Education through fostering experiential learning and global exposure, and to SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through building collaborative networks with leading universities, industry experts, and international peers.
